With the experience of working within HR for fifteen years, HR Fernandez Consulting has supported many businesses, large and small . Whilst based in Guildford Surrey, we have worked within very different cultures and working environments both in the UK and in Europe. Thus, we are fully aware of how important it is to understand the culture of your business.

We understand how imperative it is to create a working culture which promotes your business and represents the employees within your company. We specialise in performance management, however we have been heavily involved in many restructuring programmes and TUPE Transfers. Such projects have required both collective and individual consultation, resulting in many cases in the confirmation of redundancy. 

It is also crucial to be able to handle the other day to day HR issues, whether that is a recruitment drive to expand your team or a recent grievance that needs to be addressed and heard. It may also require understanding the flexible working request policy, effective benefits and reward or reviewing your disciplinary procedure.

 

Whilst we are based in Guildford, some of the other companies we have supported include ABN Amro Amsterdam, IBM,  Watson Wyatt, National Australia Bank, BT and finally Siemens.

The need to listen and understand your needs as the client is essential as only then can we provide pragmatic, straight forward HR advice.

Although we primarily focus on supporting businesses within the Guildford, Surrey area, we would also cover and support companies further afield such as; Chichester, Midhurst, Portsmouth, Southampton and London. We can, if required, offer HR support which takes place primarily via telephone after the initial consultation has occurred.

On a personal note I have worked primarily within the banking and IT sector both having their own major challenges, from poor performance to training/ coaching managers in how to manage ! Certainly having to work within a different culture as I did in Amsterdam brings its own challenges as well as it rewards ! For me personally the key thing for most if not all businesses is to ensure that your employees' are bought into where you are wanting to go as a company. If you can achieve this you are half way there !!!
